The big comeback post!
June 18, 2008I have not been updating this blog for some time now… well I was just plain lazy! but on the other hand I’m back and that’s more important… well let’s get started I was busy with…

Football!
what else am is so crazy about? (well except the love of my life!). I was busy and so excited about Euro 2008! I have not been updating here but the tournament is almost in the quarterfinal stages, and the drama has been up to the level! I could not watch the games live because we don’t have a TV in our room but I always found time to watch the highlights and get my groove into the game. There are so many surprises and dark horses in the competition that the build up and upcoming climax is full of drama! The group stages are almost finished with Portugal, Holland, SpainĀ topping their respective groups. Pulling miracles are also a mass as Croatia tops their group by winning all 3 group matches against Germany, Austria and Poland! The group of death which features Holland, Italy, France and Romania was eagerly anticipated as France and Romania is just out of luck and is shipped out of the competition. Turkey are also in the quarters with Portugal as they shock the Czech republic with a comeback win to earn qualification…. 2 games are left in the group D as Spain plays Defending champs Greece with results not affecting qualification as Greece is yet to win and has already been out of contention, Spain on the other hand has already qualified with 6 points. While Russia and Sweden slug it out for a place in the quarters as they both sit on 3 points and a win will make one advance.
Another football fever I am into is Pro evolution soccer 2008. Thanks to a friend and hi laptop, we have been enjoying loads of great football fun with PES 2008! I’ll give this a mini review right now… Graphics are so good that you can easily recognize players from the face. Nice stadiums, balls and pitches. Gameplay is also great but one issue I found out is that defending is quite difficult. players don’t have much mass or solidity in the game that sometimes a defending player is already too close and making contact but there’s not much results, what i mean is there’s not much effect in pressuring a running offensive player. the player does not slow down and could still control the ball well. I would just suggest that every player may have some strength in their body to try and get physical on the offensive player. This point only make scoring a lot easier when you already get the hang of the controls and tactics of the game. You get abnormal games with scorelines like 7-5.
Movies!
I watched some movies too… On th top list is Kung Fu Panda a great animated flik which will surprise almost anyone at how well and how hilarious it was done. Sweeney Todd was ok, but good enough just because of johnny Depp. If you don’t like theater and musicals, I would not suggest it. I know everyone has said it, but i wanna say it too… Ironman was a blast! nuff’ said. well i’ve seen more but that’s just at the top of my head, and this post is already creeping into avery long and boring one but well the title explains it…
yet to see:
The Incredible hulk
21
Cloverfield (looking for a copy!)
Music!
I got a hold of Coldplay’s album Viva la Vida, its great and all i can think about while listening is that this guys can sell almost anything they produce. They are really good and I’m enjoying it too. I also have Disturbed’s new album Indestructible, well nothing new from them sounds the same but has great material here, hard core fans would never miss it.
Anime and Manga!
Well the usual dose of weekly Naruto anime and manga for me. But I would also suggest this anime I am currently watching and has got me hooked so much. I know some of you might have already heard and watched it but I’m just reccomending it to those who have not. Deathnote is certainly a must watch! a great plot and story line and a tinge psychological suspense.
Thanx for the music…i just stumbled over an easy access goldmine in ur PC, haha, liked KungFu Panda too, unexpectedly FANTASTIC…
